The "NAZ "Sokol" JSC has available the first-class laboratories incorporated in the Test Centre "Sokol" accredited in the certification system of the "Gosstandard" GOST R of Russia.

The complex of the laboratories performs the following works:

1. mechanical tests of metals, alloys and nonmetallic materials for tension, impact bending, hardness, fatigue;
2. determination of chemical composition of metals and alloys;
3. environmental tests of electroplated and chemical coatings;
4. investigation of macro- and microstructures of alloys as well as causes of failures and rejects, analysis of fractures, defects in semi-finished products;
5. magnetic-particle, ultrasonic, liquid-penetrant tests;
6. gamma-ray testing of steel articles at thickness up to 80 mm;
7. radioactive testing of welds, parts, assemblies and large-size articles (with length up to 10 m and height up to 4 m);
8. impedance-sonic testing of soldered/brazed articles;
9. eddy-current testing in quality control of heat treatment of aluminium-alloy parts;
10. quality control of paint coats for hardness, impact and bending strength, heat resistance and lustre;
11. determination of mass fraction of base material, impurities, moisture, insoluble sediment in chemicals;
12. detection of detrimental impurities in utensils for food.
13. tests of properties of oils, fuels, working fluids.
    
    

The general-purpose and special welding equipment available at the enterprise along with traditional manual welding enables to perform the following types of welding practically in unlimited volumes:

1. resistance spot welding;
2. argon-arc welding;
3. automatic two-arc welding.
